The Pope County High School Bass Fishing Team of Drake Taylor and Grayson Fritch made some Pope school history today. They are the 2026 IHSA Crab Orchard Lake Regional Champions. They had a winning weight of 15.38 pounds and the Drake had the big bass of the tourney at 5.26. This is the first bass fishing regional championship for PCHS Pirate fishing history! They advance to next week’s Sectional tournament on Lake of Egypt! Congratulations fellas! 🏴‍☠️
