Hello friends of On A Wing And A Prayer.
You may remember that during the years the store was open from 2001-2013 we kept a Prayer List for you, our customers and friends, to write your intentions. I prayed for those intentions everyday, and asked my staff to do the same. After the store closed, I wasn't sure what to do with all of these prayer books! We've decided to burn these books in a 'prayer fire' and offer these intentions up to our Father this coming Sunday evening, at St. Gabriel's, after 6pm Mass. The fire pit is next to the Prayer Garden, and you are welcome to join us and add any of your current intentions to the fire.

Thank you to all who came to the opening of the sale today. We had such a wonderful turnout and so many entered the contest for our great prizes! I really appreciate your support and hope you picked up some bargains. Keep coming back...there will be more!

Fyi...in addition to our regular merchandise, we'll be selling all the store's decorating supplies (i.e. fabric, florals, greenery, beads, ribbon, props, baskets, etc.). This includes Christmas decor and our store Advent wreath that so many of you have wanted to purchase through the years.

Well Friends... We thought we were going to have really exciting news to share, as a wonderful couple were in the process of buying the store and it would remained open. BUT... there were issues with their financing and they were not able to proceed. Since our lease is up in June, that means we'll be closing soon. The store will be turned over to a company that will handle the closing for us, so we'll keep you informed as we know more. Thank you, each and every one, for your years of support and God bless you all.

Just a reminder.....as always, at 3pm we will be playing the Stations of the Cross over our sound system. They will be set up around the store for anyone who wants to meditate on the images. Shopping will be done by candlelight during that time.

March 25....usually the feast of The Annunciation, Mary's "yes" to the Holy Spirit. This year, because the date falls in Holy Week, The Annunciation is celebrated the week after Divine Mercy Sunday, April 8. Still, Mary is on my mind today -- her humility, love, acceptance of the Will of God. Let's pray that we have the grace to say "yes" to the things that God asks of us in this life.

Look what came!! The t-shirts show apostolic succession from St. Peter to Pope Francis, with years listed respectively. The holy cards didn't come...they are on their way in a separate box. There are other boxes coming from different companies. Keep watching for updates!!

For years I've had people asking me to teach a rosary making class. I've got three persistent students that would like to do it soon. Anyone else interested? You would have a choice of beads, center, crucifix, and you would leave with rosary-making tools and knowledge metals, beads, findings, tools, etc.
