We have not been holding the Rockin for a Cure event for a while. But Team Little J. Cure Cystic Fibrosis tries to raise funds for C.F. Research all year long. Yu can go to the link below and make a contribution directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for Research. so many have been helped through this research and we Pray one day there will be a Cure.

I am asking for prayers of strength, healing, and love, comfort and health for Our J. and family it looks like he MAY be going in for a tune up next week and he will be going in for a bronchoscopy, I will know a date latter today. J. has been fighting an annoying cough off and on since end of March and in May he grew Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) in his culture at Pulmonary. We have done a few oral antibiotics and breathing treatments. The cough seems to keep coming back and so it is time to go in and do the bronchoscopy to see what they can grow and how we can better treat. This is something he has had to do many times but we have been blessed that he has not had to be in for a tune-up for 2 years!! J. has very high anxiety and has had trouble getting the pic line put in in the past so prayers for everything to run smooth and comfort for him as well as a healthy stay (with all this nasty stuff going around) We would GREATLY APPRICIATE ALL PRAYERS!! :) We will keep you all posted. MUCH LOVE!! — feeling hopeful.

Time to begin thinking about 2014 Fund raising... The Great Strides walk is April 26, 2014. I have not decided where the 2014 "Rockin for a Cure" will be held but it will happens and I will let everyone know as soon as plans are set.

We are all so Blessed to have Justin in our Lives and so very Thankful for modern medicine and the knowledge that a Cure is just around the corner. And Yes Linda... He is a " Beautiful Boy " ♥
#19 I am thankful for my little J. monster!! Happy 8th Birthday! I can not believe it has been 8 years already, I had never felt such a combination of terrified and joy than the day he was born! I thank God everyday for the blessing that he is and all that he teaches us! We are so blessed that God knows we are strong enough to watch our son go threw the things he dose and learn from , teach , and be thankful for the struggles we face! EVERY DAY IS A BLESSING!!!!♥ He is STRONG, amazing, funny, smart and beautiful!

J. had a WONDERFUL pulmonary visit!! His lungs sound great and his pft's where good! He was SO big and brave for his throat swab and labs! I am a proud mommy! After the Dr. we went and got a Lego (of course) and some school supply's and new cloths for everyone! Getting ready for school! 2nd, 7th, and 9th grade UGH!! Where does the time go?

Tomorrow is the regular 3 month Pulmonary visit for the J. man! It is always a little stressful he has to do a throat swab and labs and it is a long visit with pft's and nutritional and pulmonary doctors to talk with. We always do a mental prep the day before so he won't get too upset. We have talked about it a few times today and tonight before bed he told me, " Mom I don't like to go but I'm a big boy and I'm brave, it will be o.k." ;') My baby boy has come so far, I love him so much! I told him " I know you are brave you are the strongest kid I know!" God has been so good to us!! ♥ Keeping our J. man strong and healthy!!

Third annual "Rockin for a Cure" Was a huge success. We had great group helping out, really nice gifts donated by local businesses, the Music was Awesome and a Wonderful & Generous group of folks attending. We were asble to raise awareness about Cystic Fibrosis and we raised $700. to go to the Cystic Fibrosisi Foundation for Research to find a "Cure" !!Thank you Eveyone who attended, donated, performed and helped in so many ways. "Team Little J"

Thank you to all who were able to attend Monday Night, You helped make it a very special occasion. It was a huge success thanks to all of the incredible musicians who took time from their busy schedules to share their time and talent and to all of the local business owners who donated fun prizes to share. I will be posting photos over the next couple of days. A Great time was had by all and we managed to raise $700. (100% of which will be given to the "Cystic Fibrosis Foundation " on Saturday along with funds rasied by the whole Team "Little J" )

So many generous local business owners have donated lovely gift's which will be raffled at the benefit. Tickets are only $1. must be present to win. There will be more at the benefit that I do not have yet including Jameson shot glasses and some restraunt gift certificates.
