•a phenomenal and very rare c.1850s English presentation dagger in its original silk, button tufted thuja burl wood fitted box. The dagger, also in its original leather sheath, was handmade and stamped by George Woodhead of 36 Howard Street, Sheffield. It has a sterling silver handle with mother of pearl inlays, monogrammed with an “R.” The French Napoleon III style marquetry box features brass and mother of pearl accents, and overall is in fantastic condition for its age. The story passed on with the dagger was that it belonged to a courtesan, but I can neither confirm nor deny that information, however it does make for a rather salacious story😏vampires be damned!🩸(box measures approximately 12 1/2 inches long by 4 1/4 inches wide and 3 1/4 inches tall, dagger measures approximately 11 inches long, available, please DM with interest)•
