Not everything is feasible to pull stitches out of, but most backpacks are pretty forgiving, especially if it’s not super densely stitched. This backpack had the previous owners initials on it and the new owner had originally come in looking to have a patch made to go over it.

After chatting about the project, she brought the bag in and I determined that pulling the stitches out was an option. She wanted a flower design to replace that spacing, so after removing the stitches, I added a simple flower design in the same place.
