When you use Google Maps and pick the fastest, green route. It took us through a National Park with country roads for 18 miles. Gravel roads with cows. Nebraska Oglala Greenlands National Park.

In all fairness Steve is the most athletic of us all. He does hikes and trails all the time. Mt. Guadalupe is where I lost my trust in his judgement of how hard a hike is. Let's just say I was not mentally prepared for Mt. Guadalupe. This was easy in comparison. Our legs just hurt from a hike the day before.

Yes, I avoid parallel parking. I will drive to a parking lot and walk farther away to not do it. Today I decided suck it up. It was a larger spot, I know.

8 day packing trip. Packing without having to check a bag is goal for me. Also when there is going to be 5 people in a car there is limited space.
