We are so thankful for this review from Charles Cowan. We made a custom set of wheels and sent them out for him to put to the test. He’s been very enthusiastic and supportive ever since we started sharing our work.

This is my unbiased review for Lunk Wheels, a DIY wheel company who gave me the opportunity to not only have a guest wheel with them, but to also put them to...

We have predominantly been working with a 55mm mold set and occasionally 34mm mold as well. We just made a 62mm mold and would love to know what other sizes you would like to see us make.

I’ve been meaning to share this excellent deck we picked from at his session at a couple weeks ago. Life Board are made in Indiana and I love this graphic because it reminds me of my old beat up truck. I gripped it with some Pepper grip tape from and we made some green glitter wheels to it. I unfortunately sprained my ankle on some ice right after I got the board so it hasn’t seen any use yet but I just know it’s going to be excellent.

It’s way overdue but we finally shipped out our first set of wheels to a friend that will be reviewing them and giving us some MUCH NEEDED feedback. Everyone has different tastes and wants in skateboard wheels and Luke and I don’t skate very aggressively so we’ve been wanting some constructive criticism. We have still been fine tuning the molding process and are learning as we go. We started printing with PLA filament and learned that the endothermic reaction of the wheels curing deforms the mold making the bearings more difficult to press in. We recently switched to ABS filament and while it has its own issues we are figuring it out and refining our whole process. The experimentation and learning process has just been so fun. This first batch is going to Charles Cowan who will give some feedback on his YouTube channel. I’ll put a link to his channel in the comments.
