Summers Healing Hands Handwoven Baskets, Rugs and Scarves Me I have been weaving baskets since 1984 and began weaving rag rugs on a floor loom in 2013. My scarves are hand woven on a table top loom.

I love working in colorful vintage fabrics. I also have some placemats and table runners and rugs woven by Doris Blaser , a 90 year old weaver from Cadiz KY. Open by appointment only.

My Civil War ancestor quilt for my husband’s cousin Judy. The indigo 9 patch blocks are vintage 1900 from Kansas. The young men in the civil war uniforms are Judy’s nephew Daniel and his two sons Carter and Owen. Also have a block for her Dad who was Tom’s uncle. Long arm quilting by June Batty.
