So, how to use the Bristle & Chalk Boxes. Sure they are designed to hold brushes, tools, and paint. The Bristle Box is special because it holds wet brushes without them touching, which was its intended purpose. But more than that, use them to prime your brushes. It's my favorite part of these boxes.
When I get a little too much paint on my brush, I 'knock the paint off' on the box and return to the box when I need more. Maybe it's just me, but when I go back to the jar for light applications like dry brushing or detailed work, I always get too much paint. I'm trying not to use my lids to keep them from gooping up my jars, so I use the boxes instead. I use the handle, the sides, the whole box really, it works great, and it paints itself. It's perfect for priming wax brushes and returning to the box to get just a little more when you need it.
You can use the handle to place lids that are full of paint for ease of use. The handle stays clean underneath for carrying. 😄
Oh, and as you can see in the photo, the Bristle Box can hold your beverage of choice! Very Important! 😆
