Those yard signs say "Ban Transgender Surgeries for Minors." Here's what they leave out.

Missouri law already bans transgender surgery for minors. The SAFE Act passed in 2023 (Sec. 191.1720, RSMo).

So what does Amendment 3 actually do? It repeals the 2024 voter-approved amendment providing reproductive healthcare rights.

Adding an already-existing ban to ballot measure is called "ballot candy"—something that makes a yes vote more likely.

But it’s one vote for two very different issues: a Yes on the ban, which already exists, is also a Yes on the repeal.

A YES vote on Amendment 3 would:
🔹 Repeal the reproductive healthcare rights Missourians approved in 2024.
🔹 Allow abortion throughout pregnancy in cases of medical emergency or a fetal condition that would prevent survival after birth.
🔹 Only allow abortion for r**e or in**st up to 12 weeks pregnancy—regardless of the r**e or in**st victim’s age or when the victim learns she is pregnant.
🔹 Remove constitutional protection for private medical decision-making, giving the legislature broad power to regulate abortion providers and impose new requirements.
🔹 Permanently ban gender-affirming medical care for minors, including hormones and puberty blockers—even when physicians recommend it and parents agree.

A NO vote on 3 would:
🔹 Keep the 2024 reproductive health rights amendment in place.
🔹 Preserve abortion access through fetal viability.
🔹 Stop the proposed constitutional bans from taking effect.

ℹ️ Surgeries on minors are already banned in Missouri. That ban doesn't expire.
ℹ️ Puberty blocker and hormone restrictions are law through August 28, 2027, and lawmakers can extend them.
ℹ️ None of it needs Amendment 3. It's ballot candy.

Read the ballot language before you vote. Share this with a neighbor who's seen those signs.

💙🧡 My Biggest Endorsement Yet! 🧡💙

I’ve received some pretty special endorsements throughout this campaign, but this one might just be the biggest yet!

Rosalie spent her evening knocking on doors, encouraging folks to get out and vote for me for Presiding Commissioner and YES on Amendment 6!

She may be one of our smallest supporters, but she’s a pretty big reminder of why I’m doing this in the first place.

The future of St. Francois County belongs to kids like Rosalie.

The decisions we make today will shape the community our children and grandchildren grow up in, the opportunities they’ll have, and the place they’ll someday call home.

That’s why this campaign is about more than the next election. It’s about the next generation. We owe it to our young people to make responsible decisions, protect what makes our county special, and leave things a little better than we found them.

Thank you, Rosalie, for getting out there and putting in the work! I sure appreciate your support, and I think you’ve got a bright future ahead of you!

Amendment 6 puts a strong safeguard around citizen-approved laws. Before lawmakers can send changes to a voter-approved initiative back to the ballot, 80% of both the Missouri House and Senate must agree. Your vote should not be easy for politicians to undo.
