And just like that… it’s the first day of school. 🍎📚

Backpacks are packed. First-day pictures are being taken. Teachers are ready. Parents are feeling approximately 47 different emotions before 8 a.m. 😅

After a week spent helping schools and organizations throughout our community get ready for today, there’s something pretty special about finally seeing the first day arrive.

To the students walking through those doors we hope this year gives you plenty of reasons to be proud of how far you’ve come. Whether you’re doing it for the very first time, returning to familiar halls, starting your senior year, or somewhere in between.

To the teachers, staff and families who have done so much behind the scenes to get everyone here: we’re cheering for you, too.

To our local communities, have a wonderful first day. 💛

Some first days are a very big deal. 💕📚

Living Hope Bible Preschool is ready to welcome its 3 and 4-year-olds for a brand-new school year!

For some, it will be their very first first day of school. For others, another year of growing, learning, making friends and becoming just a little more independent.

We loved adding a bright, cheerful backdrop to help mark those first-day memories. Whether it’s their first or their second, these are the pictures that become pretty special a few years from now. 🎈

Wednesday was ribbon-cutting day at Petal - Flower Boutique, and Cari was surrounded by friends, family, customers, and community members celebrating the business she has worked so hard to build.

For the occasion, we created a pair of whimsical balloon arrangements to frame the storefront in Petal-perfect pinks, right down to a balloon rose tucked into each one. 🌹🎈

And while you could mostly see the toppers peeking above the crowd during the ribbon cutting, we wouldn’t have had it any other way. A full sidewalk is a pretty wonderful reflection of how many people were excited to celebrate this milestone with her.

Congratulations, Cari! We loved getting to add a little something special to a day that was so very deserved. 💗

A new school year comes with a lot of moving pieces; so Fairfield High School gave freshmen an entrance that was pretty hard to miss. 🧡🖤

These matching columns started by framing the full auditorium entrance before moving in to mark the doors students would actually be using for freshman orientation.

The third column got its moment at the main entrance…because honestly, who could pass up that picture?…before moving inside to the commons.

That flexibility matters. These displays can move with the school, help define a space, and keep working as plans change.

And they’re not done yet. Fairfield High School is keeping all three for Meet the Trojans tomorrow, so they may find themselves welcoming students and families from an entirely different spot next.

The backpacks are packed, the pencils are sharpened, and Washington Elementary is ready to welcome some of Fairfield’s littlest learners back to school! ✏️📚

For many of these kiddos, these early elementary years are where their school story begins; new classrooms, new teachers, new friends, and so many new things to discover.

We brought all the color for a bright, cheerful photo spot to help mark the beginning of another school year. If you’re headed to Washington, be sure to stop by the gym and grab that first-day photo. 💛🩷💚🩵

Because they may be little today, but these are the beginnings of some pretty big things.

Celebrating five years deserves a little something special. 🧡

When Jefferson County Health Center reached out about adding balloons to the JCHC Clinic Richland anniversary celebration, we needed something simple, festive, and easy for their team to transport and set up themselves: pillar accents were the perfect fit.

We created eight individual accents in JCHC’s brand colors, dropped them off ready to go, and their team took it from there! And look how beautifully they styled them throughout the pavilion!

It’s a great example of how a few thoughtfully placed details can bring color and energy to a space without needing a large installation.

Congratulations to JCHC Clinic Richland on five years of serving the community, and thank you for letting Soarin’ Soirée add a little color to the celebration. 🧡🎈

Great Scott! ⚡ Pence Elementary-Fairfield, IA is going Back to the Future of Success!

Open House Thursday, August 20th from 5:30-7pm!

The halls are ready, the retro colors are in place, and another school year means a brand-new opportunity for Pence students to learn, lead, and grow.

This year’s Lighthouse Leader in Me theme looks toward the future, but Pence has made the destination pretty clear:

100% of students will show growth.

That’s a future worth working toward, one student and one step at a time.

We had so much fun bringing a little retro color to the halls and helping Pence set the scene for the year ahead.

As Doc Brown said, “Your future hasn’t been written yet. No one’s has. Your future is whatever you make it. So make it a good one.”

Here’s to Pence students and staff making this year a good one. ⚡📚

Today’s Destination Fairfield gathering welcomes educators and school staff as they prepare for a new school year throughout our community.

Local businesses, organizations, schools, and neighbors have come together to showcase something bigger than any one event: the community waiting outside the classroom doors.

A community ready to welcome.
A community ready to support.
A community proud to call Fairfield home.

We loved adding a little light to the evening with these glowing balloon centerpieces and watching so many pieces of Fairfield come together in one room.

Because Fairfield isn’t simply a place on the map.
