A semi-custom quilting project that was a lot of fun. The bubble pattern reflects the polka-dot fabrics used in the quilt, and the spinning stars on the borders tie in the pieced stars.

The owner of the quilt was in my Quilting 101 class in January of this year - and this is her 4th quilt!! If you look close, you can see that the batik designs are bicycle themed - and this Sun Gears patterns works perfectly with the fabric!

...my friend just got a new pup, and made a quilt in honor of the new addition to the family. I was so glad I found these paw prints!

...and back to our regularly scheduled programming with this custom designed pattern. This customer wanted me to create a custom text design to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the United States. Text design includes: "Happy 250th Birthday America" and "July 4, 2026." This was a unique challenge - and happily, she loved the results!

We also kept busy this summer taking a super fun sublimation printing class at Sew Whatever Studios in St. Louis, MO. ...so, while we were in St. Louis, we figured that we should stop by the Missouri Star Quilt Company...because, y'know...we were in the same state. After a 4-hour drive (one way), with the 16 year-old niece in tow), we visited the mothership. WELL worth the 8 hour commute. Unless you speak to the 16 year-old niece. She's still demanding ice cream...
