I had this Frigidaire electric dryer repair today and you can see from the pictures that the control board caught on fire! The symptoms where that the unit was dead and would not power up at all and as soon as I opened it up I could smell a strong oder of electrical burn and it came from a faulty relay switch! In order to do the repair the manufacturer sent a new board and complete wiring harness so the dryer had to be completely rewired. It was a long process but the dryer worked after the repair was done. I was able to save another one from the scrap yard! Some jobs require you to get out of your comfort zone and end up doing a compressor replacement on a 134a refrigerator! These jobs usually take two to three hours and are expensive. I usually only do a few a year. I am also taking care of new refrigerators with r600 butane. Call Holmes Appliance Repair for all of you appliance needs!

This job I had this last week was a complete overhaul and it did not want to come apart easily as it took me three hours to get it tore down due to extreme rusted parts that I had to use a gear puller and a lot of WD-40 to separate everything to do the bearing and seal kit that it needed and also it was leaking water from the tub seal! After 2 days and six hours it is working like a brand new speed queen! They no longer make appliances like this speed queen!
