I just found out that all of the funding for the Art Docent program at my daughter's elementary school has been cut, due to the cancellation of all the spring fundraisers this past school year. I am working with a few other parents I know to put together a take-home art kit for the entire first grade, so that we will be able to do art lessons with the kids via zoom while they complete this next year of virtual learning. Art is such a vital part of early education, I can't imagine all of these kids going without it because of covid...they have already lost so much. Brianna and Dylan got married yesterday, and if you took a peek at my stories then you already know it was a stunning affair!! The florals! The citrus! The champagne wall! I happen to know that the incredibly talented photographer took some crazy good pictures of the stationery for me, but in the meantime, here is a look at the full suite, styled and shot by yours truly, who is absolutely not a professional photographer 😂. In a year of blush weddings, this vibrant citrus suite certainly stands out in the crowd. I do love a client who isn't afraid of a little color!

If it seems quiet over here in Little Bird land, trust me, it isn't. Between dance recitals, preschool graduation, swim lessons, visits from family, neighborhood association events, wedding invitations going out (2 suites a week for past 3 weeks!), event day paperie for June and July weddings (4 in the next 3 weeks!), and design work for fall weddings, I am completely burnt out. Hey is it too late to snag an invite to your wedding? Cabo sounds a lot like heaven right about now...who else is with me?🙋‍♀️🍹🌴

Throw back Thursday to one of my first full letterpress suites. Wax seal / monogram game on point, y'all. I learn something new with each suite we complete...this one was "if you press everything on duplexed cardstock, it looks stunning but the envelopes won't stay closed." Thank goodness for those beautiful custom wax seals and my tendency to order way more wax than I actually need. They were form on the inside and function on the outside!

I've been obsessing over these details cards since they came off the press yesterday! It really is all about the details. Sage cardstock, letterpress printed in seedling and sage ink.

It's a sweltering 96 degrees in my shop right now, so these tone on tone details cards are definitely the coolest thing I'll see all day. See what I did there?
