My first car was an 88 Jeep Wrangler YJ. It was a completely stock 4 banger and in need of some work. Well it didn't take long before it was lifted with big tires and plenty of aftermarket accessories. As Time went on I've owned several Jeeps and cars, all of them being heavily modified. Along with my own cars were the cars of lots of friends. All the work we did took place in the basement of my D
ad's barn. Pulling engines was a nights work. Rebuilding them and throwing them back in just to break them again was the norm. We fixed cars, we flipped cars, we wrecked cars. One day I walked into the shop and written in chalk on the side of the torch table was "Dave's Chop Shop". My Dad had unintentionally named a life style we had lived for years and would continue to live. I felt Dave's Chop Shop was a little rough so I took the initials DCS and the name was born. A stock vehicle doesn't stand out, it doesn't say anything about the owner or where its been. That's why we do what we do, to make a vehicle individual in its own right. To make it your own. That's who we are at DCS.
