This guy has been crafting with me since the beginning and still enjoys coming and hanging with me to learn something new. In fact you are looking at a best in show winner, 1st place winner and 3rd place winner with crafts he submitted at this year's Chowan County Fair. All of those projects he did with me and I couldn't be prouder.
Each of the trees in the book represent a member of his family.🥰

All set up and ready for visitors at the Perquiman's Arts and Craft Show. $5 admission gets you in the door to 97 artists. We are open until 4 pm so come do some early Christmas shopping. Everything at my table is 30% off and if you come wearing a Gregarious Goose shirt you will receive 50% off your purchase at my booth.

Who's ready for a fun weekend to start your Christmas shopping early with handmade products????
This event has always been one that never disappoints and with over 90 booths you are sure to find something for someone including yourself. If you think this is a kid free event think again!!! There will be plenty of fun things to do and see if you aren't into walking and talking to the artists that made the pieces by hand.
Hungry? My stomach is growling already thinking of the food they will have like their signature sandwich this year the "juicy butt" yes you heard me right their will be BBQ at the event. So do yourself a favor and don't miss out on this fantastic weekend event.
Oh, and did I mention I will be there??

It is my favorite time of year!!!! The first full year I lived here I participated in the 1st ever table setting competition at our fair and won for my Harvest Moon Table.
This will be the first year I am not competing but that doesn't mean I won't be there to cheer everyone on.
I can't wait to see all the submissions this year in every category!!! We have so many talented people in this country and if you didn't know that go check out the exhibits in the main building.
Not an exhibit person? Maybe your joy is found in all the fair food and sweet treats. And rides, did I mention rides???
I hope to see you all out enjoying one of my favorite American pastimes The Chowan County Fair!!!!

Hope you are doing something fun this Labor Day weekend. I have been enjoying time with friends.
I went to an arts and crafts festival( I'm sure you are surprised). I went to a Brewery, watched Football, hiked to see a waterfall and grilled out. I would love to hear from you.

Full circle moment ...

In 2019 when the Chowan County Fair was getting ready to happen a woman came around to businesses and asked if we would like to participate in a fundraiser for the Animal Shelter by making a giant water bottle into a pig. Not just any pig but a piggy bank!!!! Her husband Toby gave her the idea🥰.

Well, those of you that know me, know that I do not back down from giving my all to a craft. I got out the plaster of Paris and the shaping of a pig, known as Petunia, took place.

Yesterday, the woman that gave me the water bottle in 2019, came to my house, wrote a check for the Animal Shelter for $250 and proudly took Petunia home.That woman's name is Becky.
Petunia went back home.

Knowing Becky I wouldn't be surprised if you see Petunia pop up somewhere. Petunia captured many people's hearts the time she was in The Gregarious Goose and it will be awesome to see her live on.

Petunia has been in my window since 2019 collecting for multiple charities but mainly the Animal Shelter. I just emptied her belly and I always match what is inside her. Thanks to generous donations of loose change etc. I will be donating $204.04 to our local Tri-County Animal Shelter.

Many of you in the past have asked if she is for sale. Well she is up for grabs for the largest bid. Write your bid in the comments below. The bidding will close Monday August 21 at 6pm.
