These pieces were created for a mother celebrating her daughter’s journey into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Years ago, she saw a handcrafted plaque in a family member’s home, a symbol of pride, tradition, and sisterhood that inspired her to one day join those same ranks. Now, this custom recreation stands as a reflection of that legacy — a bridge between generations, made to honor where she came from and where her daughter is headed.

Out of respect for the organization, this is a one-of-a-kind commissioned piece and not for sale or reproduction. I’m deeply honored to have been trusted to help preserve a family’s story through craft, detail, and wood.

A customer reached out to me this morning via facebook marketplace and they need a birth announcement sign for their newborn. Their wife didn’t want one until they got to the hospital and changed her mind. I was able to replicate their older son’s design and make them a 12 inch wooden plaque in less than 4 hours! I live for jobs like this!
