Merry Christmas from the Chen fam!

2025 was a year of long days (and nights), big changes, and constant growth. Through it all, we’re incredibly grateful that we get to build this business together as a family. No such thing as a bad day in the shop when we get to do it all together.

Thank you for being part of our journey, believing in what we’re building, and sticking with us through all the growth. We’re so grateful and very much looking forward to 2026!

Have you opened your copy of winter 2025 edition yet? If so, you’ll notice a beautiful custom 1911, built by HS Custom and written up by Roy Huntington, that features some of our parts!

Dusty took a stock 4.25” Garrison–which is already a fantastic gun–and upgraded it with options such as a double arrow slide top pattern, de-horn package, and a Chen Full Custom Rear Sight, Full-Length Thumb Safety, and stainless steel SI “Shooter Installed” Magwell.

The fit, finish, and attention to detail on this one are top tier, and Dusty absolutely knocked it out of the park. We’re proud to have our parts on a build like this and to work alongside craftsmen who care as much as we do. Huge thanks to Dusty, Roy, and Mike Humphries for including us in this one!

Well, we can say without a doubt that this year’s Utah State IDPA Championship is the wettest match we’ve ever shot (2nd wettest day in history in SLC!). However, while there wasn’t a shortage of rain, there also wasn’t a shortage of laughter, camaraderie, awesome stages, and amazing people.

Huge shoutout to the folks at WDSA who rolled with the punches and put on a great match, despite the terrible weather. From handing out hand warmers and beanies to providing personal transportation over puddles, they truly went above and beyond. This is one of our favorite matches for a reason, and this year was no different. We’re always honored to sponsor this match.

Chenkin #3 even pulled off a High Junior title with a gallon of water in his boots!

We can’t wait to shoot and sponsor this one again, counting down the days until next year! Thanks again to Aaron, Ashley, Ray, and the rest of the volunteers for a fantastic match.

Did you know that the Chen Gen2 Magwell comes standard on the EVO-E9-LW? This lightweight pistol is the perfect carry gun for those who like to EDC 1911s. The shortened and thinned 4” slide comes equipped with a Holosun 320 SCS. The Gen2 Magwell adds a 360° funnel without adding any length or width to the frame, assisting in those high-pressure reloads.
