Speaking of visiting…today we have had a visit from deer, cranes, a small bear, and it seems like more bird & butterfly activity with thoughts of “migration” in their wings! Hello Monday! What to create this week…if you have had bear visitors while living or visiting on the Island you might like this hand created “HOME SWEET HOME” stitchery in a frame highlighted with stonework, trees, and bears. Happy Morning! The various water spots on the Island provide us all with such adventures. If you venture into our shoppe you will find this “nautical corner”…some of the items were from my Mom’s nautical theme bedroom, some from having lived in Charleston, SC, and beautiful totes made by my creative friend, Linda. Good lovely morning! Critters are my friends and at our shoppe they are in abundance…on little totes, big totes, ornaments, pincushions, pillows, table runners, jewelry, photos, headbands, glassware & china, plush characters, lamps, books, and also in many figural items. Come and see how many you are able to count in one visit! May your day be beautiful and keep a watchful eye for those critters in the road and on the roadsides and also on the waterways! What special weather we have been gifted…good for the soul! How many years have you been reading…since childhood…teen years…young adulthood…mature adulthood…these golden years? I guess all the GOLDEN BOOKS I read as a child and every year after that prepared me for these “golden years”! Never too old to learn… my books took me traveling to near and far places…helped me learn new information…provided me with beautiful illustrated artwork…gave me guidance, inspiration, and a proper moral compass. May you always have books for yourself, for the developing minds of little ones and to share with others. Take some of your limited time to read to a young person and to those older folks who are unable to have this previous gift of reading…you will be amazed how it will warm your heart! Take care and be safe. We had a young boy come to the shoppe with his mom and he was reading the last chapter in a book he “could not put down” but took the time to look at every book in the shoppe with shiny eager eyes…a true blessing to witness! 🥰🙏🐑🐑🐑🐑📚

Good morning on this beautiful day. The studio/shoppe will be open until 6PM today. This photo of our latest tote was a 3 person effort to create. First, Elaine & Pam chose a delightful design…can you not just see that duck diving into the swirling water… from The Embroidery Library…then the thread and fabric colors were chosen by Pam and now Elaine did her magic with her embroidery sewing machine…next Mary stepped to the plate and sewed the tote from Pam’s fabric stash…and finally Pam had the “fun part”-designing…a needlepoint thread called Water n’ Ice was used around the image…then the navy blue wool fabric was blanket stitched onto the lighter blue wool fabric…then the white & navy buttons were chosen because they reminded Pam of sailboat colors…finally the entire piece was blanket stitched down with slate blue candle wicking thread providing a matte tone since it is cotton thread. Voila! A one-of-a-kind tote was created just for you!! Because of the variety of supplies used, time of work involved and the uniqueness of each piece created = the cost. Hopefully you will enjoy each purchase as we had collaborating and creating it for just the right person. Have a stunning day and be safe. 🥰🙏🐑🐑🐑🐑

The studio/shoppe will be closed from noon until 2ish…have to get my curly locks trimmed…we will reopen until 6PM. For those crafters and seamstresses out there this tote may be for you. A teacher from England & the Royal School of Needlework who also had the honor of embroidering on Queen Elizabeth’s coronation gown, asked me in class if I knew what the “frog stitch” was and embarrassingly I said no and she said sure you do “rip it..rip it…rip it”!! We all know that stitch - don’t we! Have a ripping good day and stay safe as always! 🥰🙏🐑🐑🐑🐑🐸🐸🐸

What a sweet warm breeze 🌬️ is wafting across from Miller Lake. For anyone going to a party or just out on the town this tote we created has a wine bottle tassel to show off your style! Drop the humidity some and it would be an over the top perfect summer day…not asking too much am I? We had a mom and baby visit today but this time they were 4 legged…always brings our biggest smiles and ah’s! Here is another MB/PW Creation… delightful Laurel Burch tapestry fabric with lavender button & whimsical multi-colored tassel.
