✨ Watching these last few kiln loads side by side, I finally see it… I’m finding my artistic voice.

I never had formal pottery training. I learned by experimenting, making mistakes, trusting the kiln, and refusing to be afraid of trying something different. Looking back at where I started compared to where I am today, the growth is incredible.

I’ve realized something along the way: glazing isn’t just the final step… it’s becoming my signature.

Every piece reflects how I create—bold contrasts, unexpected color combinations, movement, texture, and a willingness to let the fire do what only it can do. I don’t chase perfection. I chase curiosity. Sometimes the pieces I spend the least time over become the ones that surprise me the most.

Each kiln teaches me something new, and each piece is a reflection of where I was as an artist that day. I can’t wait to see where this journey leads, because I truly feel like I’m only getting started.

✨ The beauty of this piece doesn’t stop at the rim. From the deep cobalt-blue interior and turquoise collar to the glowing copper-red band, every section of this wheel-thrown vessel has its own personality—but the lower portion became an abstract painting all by itself. Layers of teal, violet, mossy green, smoky gray, and golden ochre flow toward the foot like reflections on water, wild grasses beneath a sunset, or color moving through stone. Turn it slowly and the entire scene changes. There is no plain side and no exact pattern that could ever be recreated—just clay, glaze, fire, and a little kiln magic creating something completely one of a kind.
