I’m back on the thrift hunt!

I saw this Pyrex measuring cup. Can you tell if this is vintage or modern?

Clues to look for 🔎

❗️The Logo: Look for "PYREX" in all capital letters, usually molded into the glass or on the handle.

❗️Material: Vintage pieces are borosilicate glass (stronger for temperature changes), while newer ones are soda-lime glass.

❗️Weight & Feel: Vintage cups are noticeably heavier, thicker, and more substantial.

❗️Handle: D-shaped (connected at both ends) handles are a hallmark of older, beloved vintage versions.

❗️Markings: Vintage markings are often raised or stamped; printed markings usually mean newer production.

❗️Color & Durability: Vintage colored patterns are fired on and vibrant; the paint doesn't fade easily.
