⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune

TWO FIVE STARS IN A ROW?!

I’m not kidding, this is one of my favorite books I’ve ever read. The whimsy, the fun, the message. Plus, it was the perfect book to start off Pride month with! 🌈

About halfway through the book I started getting sad it would be over, it was THAT kind of book. If you like things like Stardew Valley, this is right up that cozy, slightly spooky, but mostly magical, avenue. Cannot recommend this one enough!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Easiest five stars I’ve given in a while.

This was my first Kristin Hannah book and definitely won’t be my last. WOW. Flew through this one in less than 24 hours and loved (and hated) every second of it. Having read a nonfiction account of the Dust Bowl earlier this year, I was extra excited to dive in and get a historical fiction version of it, and was extremely impressed with how thorough and accurate the details were.

Despite this being set in the 1930’s, it was eerie to read how little has changed in regard to public empathy towards people who are just trying to create a life and living for their family. This should be required reading for certain people (COUGH) who want to make things harder for immigrant and low-income groups in America. This book illustrates very clearly just how quickly anyone can be in need of human empathy and help.

Feyre’s studio is one of my favorite parts of ACOFAS and ACOSF and loved picturing it in my head, so I had to create my own version of it! She never gives it a name, but Starfall Studio felt right! ✨Sticker designs coming soooooooon!
