In quantum Mechanics, a quantum of energy is the unit or block of energy needed for an electron to jump a level. When an electron goes down a level, it ejects a photon, a particle of light. It's during the oxidization (chemical mixing of flammable gases and oxygen) that light and heat are given off. Luckily, we've learned to do this in the very controlled manner we call candles. We believe in returning to the basics: clean, natural, renewable waxes; glass containers; cozy and invigorating scents to stir the heart. Let the scent take you away to a simpler time. According to Wikipedia, “In traditional Chinese culture, qì ... is an active principle forming part of any living thing. Qi literally translates as 'breath', 'air', ... and figuratively as ... 'life force', or 'energy flow'.” At Quantum Illuminations (QI), we think that candles help to feed and restore that primal part of our soul; that breath; that life force. If life starts getting to be too much, stop for a minute and take a break. Analyze the situation and break it down into its quantum bits and deal with each part separately. Illuminate the problem at its core and then deal with the actual problem at hand. Life is meant to be enjoyed, savored and cherished! All our artisanal candles are handmade, so if you want a specific scent with a particular color, with a minimum order of 1 pound of wax (16 oz) per color/scent combination, we can make it for you with any wax/wick/size pairing!
