LONG COMIC DRAWERBOX(tm)

When we first introduced our DrawerBoxes 20 years ago this month, they were a unique upgrade over the old fashioned top loading long box. Since then we have constantly tried to make our products better, introducing options like the BoxSort™ upright divider system and the BoxLox™ box anchors. So for our 20th anniversary we wanted to continue that tradition.

The point of our DrawerBoxes has always been to work like a true drawer. This means you had to be able to leave a drawer open all the way and rely on it staying in place, just like any drawer in a file cabinet.

Now we are making our patented locking tabs better and more secure than ever. We’ve been testing them on our magazine and LP record sizes for a while and are now adding them to our best-selling long comic size. Instead of a side tab, we have moved the tab to the top of the drawer.

Why the top? In a word: gravity! As gravity pulls the front of the drawer down it forces the back of the drawer up against the top of the shell. By placing the locking tab on top it ensures the tab will lock the drawer firmly in place. As reliable as gravity itself!!

But wait! What if you want to completely remove the drawer? Easy! All you have to do is lift the front of the drawer up and rotate it out of the shell. This will release the locking tab.

And yes, soon we will be adding this feature to our short DrawerBoxes as well.
