Here’s a sneak peek of some pictures from a project we’ve been working on. Stay tuned for the upcoming content creation we’re currently building.
After 5 to 7 years testing various manufacturers, we finally put WAC Group International WAC Group WAC Landscape Lighting products to the test and they did not disappoint!
This company has provided lighting for GRAMMYS and Drake, so they surely fit our wheelhouse when it comes to ultimate quality, software programming support and product backing.
Some of the images exhibit a blue background inspired by “The Father of Landscape Lighting,” Frank B. Nightingale. Born on December 26, 1885, Frank spent most of his career working for General Electric while also performing as a magician on the side. One of his guiding principles was that viewers should see the light itself, not the source from which it came.
Frank referred to this technique as his “Mystery Blue Light,” which he used for background illumination. In his 1958 book, ‘Garden Lighting’, he explained that softly casting blue light onto background trees and shrubs creates the appearance of infinite depth, even within a small garden space.
This type of angle provides true depth, cohesion, focal points, along with contrast, balance, pattern and rhythm. These are all elements of design composition which we incorporate with photometry/photometrics when putting a design together.
Special thanks to the following people below. These gentlemen have been pivotal in helping us raise the bar, further our education and also understand the science behind proper lighting.
