🚧 The Hidden Dangers of Trenching 🚧

Trenching and excavation work remain some of the most dangerous activities in construction. A trench collapse can happen in seconds without warning. One cubic yard of soil can weigh as much as a car, making survival unlikely when a worker is buried.

Recent rainfall can dramatically increase soil instability, making conditions even more hazardous. These deaths are preventable when the right safety measures are in place.

✅ How to Prevent Tragedies:
✔️ SLOPE trench walls at an angle away from the excavation
✔️ SHORE trench walls with supports to prevent soil movement
✔️ SHIELD with trench boxes to protect workers from cave-ins

⚠️ Never enter a trench unless:

You are trained to recognize hazards

It has been inspected by a competent person that day

Employers must test soil, monitor conditions, provide proper systems, and ensure daily inspections. Safety is not optional.

3.4.2021 4 years and counting. What started as an inquiry into opening a business has turned into be a very bumpy but rewarding journey.

I had a dream of owning my own gun store for 10 years. In March of 2021, Illini Arms was the first company under the Malone Enterprises LLC umbrella and was an amazing opportunity. Unfortunately due to unfavorable state politics I had to close up shop and I would love to reopen again in the future! I still cannot thank my customers, friends, family and DU volunteers for allowing me to earn your business.

Now, Malone Enterprises has grown to a team of 3.5 providing EHS/OSHA/DOT compliance support and providing B2B solutions.

I have had the privilege to have some of the best people in the industry partnering with me. Some have stuck it out since the beginning, others have come and gone and I am beyond grateful for their contributions to the growth of this company.

There's potentially an opportunity in the works for a traveling professional to join Malone Enterprises. If you are a passionate EHS/ESG/GRC/Fleet professional looking to expand your horizons and industries, lets chat!
