67.5 pound King Salmon caught on Cliff C's first trip with his new iTroll G3. He also caught Kings of 32, 43, 45 and 50 pounds that week.

The 67.5 is his new personal best and he said the G3 was instrumental in providing the boat control to catch these fish.

*** 3.26.2013 *** Today, 3.26.2025, is the 12th anniversary of the first sale of the iTroll G1. WOW, how time flies. It amazes me where iTroll has gone in this time. Just a few stats:

For fun, look closely at the button labels in the photo of what is obviously the first iTroll prototype (built in 2011). That unit has HUNT Mode!

I would like to thank every one our customers and dealers for our success - Especially those who bought iTroll's early on. They took a chance on a product that did crazy things - one of which was the ability to change speed to catch fish (HUNT Mode) - that was made by a company that was completely new to the Marine industry.

We just learned that the data in the Precision Trolling Data App is obtained with an iTroll G3 in charge of the boat's throttle.

A very interesting episode on Fishing 411 TV describes the process of how the trolling depth data is obtained.

Please note that the iTroll in the episode was purchased from one of our dealers. The fact that we were chosen over the other products that are available speaks volumes about our superiority.

When boat control matters, the 1,000 throttle positions that every model of iTroll (G3, G2.5, and even our discontinued G2 and G1) has outshines the 400 and 250 positions that our competitors offer.

Those competitors are handcuffed into limiting throttle resolution because they have push buttons with jogging schemes that are too cumbersome for the user to EASILY, QUICKLY, and ACCURATELY access a large amount of throttle positions.

In comparison, the iTroll with the dual resolution click dial and wireless remote (G3), the user determines the AMOUNT and RATE of change, not the device. Additionally, if using our dial, the "clicks" give tactile and audible feedback to the user.

That is why we have 2.5 and 4 times better boat control than anyone else.

If you watch other episodes of season 19 of Fishing 411, you will see the iTroll G3 quite frequently!

iTroll = Innovation!

Every iTroll model has steering buttons. If you don't have a steering unit, you can use these buttons to perform other functions. Some examples are:

- Honking your boat's horn.
- Lock and unlock storage compartments (boat was equipped with power locking storage compartments).
- Wirelessly raise downrigger weights where iTroll's L & R buttons raised a customer's L & R cannonballs.
- Switching LED light strips on and off.

Ideas like this only come from iTroll!

Please note that the above horn and lights examples are not too difficult to wire. Interfacing to other systems may be difficult, or may not be possible.

Informative post on why the iTroll G3 is better than anything else. Let's take a look at everyone's remotes and how weather proof they are. The "IP" rating is an international standard that rates how dust and waterproof a device is over it's USEFUL life.

Our remote is certified as IP68 which means it's dust proof AND rated for complete submersion for long periods of time.

In comparison, one of our competitors' units is "Water Resistant" and CANNOT be submerged. The other's remote has NO IP rating and is a repurposed universal remote control that was never intended to see prolonged exposure to the elements. See the attached chart to see how these low IP rating allow water to enter a device.

There's the iTroll way, and then there's the cheap and easy way. Tight lines to all and stay safe!
