Kicking off January with a hot EDC load out. 2024 is going to be a great year with lots of exciting things to look forward to.
Currently carrying a custom P365XL chambered in 9mm using Hornady Self Defense Hollow points. The design consists of utilizing a Zev Slide upper and Zev sights while the lower is a Wilson Combat grip. I’ve also incorporated the Macro 17 round magazine for more capacity. I currently use a Vedder Holster to carry my handgun typically in the waistband with a KORE Belt and find that it is very secure and readily available. I don’t use red dots so much on pistols, mostly because I have astigmatism in both eyes so all I see is a tomato splatter on my glass. Since I’m not wearing prescription lenses all the time, I need something that I excel with and can easily acquire a target with, so the Zev sights work well in that field. I also carry a Premiere Body Armor bullet proof wallet. I feel people underestimate the versatility of a portable ballistic protection piece, which can move from your front pocket covering part of your artery, to your breast pocket, covering a part of heart and lung, or even our back pant pocket. Because its so small I wanted to have an external pen light and the Streamlight 66608 Microstream clipped to my wallet. As for a blade I find the practicality of a Benchmade Autocrat to be a handy tool. It’s slim enough to conceal just about anywhere and quick to deploy. I have grown accustomed to wearing a watch again, especially since it doesn’t take up an immediate hand I may need to do other tasks. For that I chose a stainless steel Luminox watch, which is water resistant and illuminates hands in the dark. I do carry my phone with me but in this day and age, I think most people do. A smartphone is useful for sure, but I don’t feel it to be a survival tool like shown below.
