It's finally Farmer's Market season, and is here with their new Summer Homestead collection to celebrate!

As much as we love strawberries at Sew to Speak (and boy do we love them), we're happy to see other fruits and veggies included here. We're especially drawn to the berry containers and garden-fresh carrots!

Hurry Home Quilted Wall Hanging with Isabel
Mondays, May 11 & 18, 6:00pm to 9:00pm

Learn from Isabel, as she teaches the Hurry Home Quilt Block by , wall hanging style!

In this class, students will build their quilting confidence by sewing a beautifully quilted wall-hanging. This block is inspired by a classic schoolhouse block with modern construction and instructions specifically for beginner quilters and/or garment sewists.

After the class, students will have all skills they need to assemble a quilt of any size!

Skills taught in this class:

Cutting your fabric with precision
Confidently piecing fabric to create the Hurry Home quilt block
Sewing a quilt sandwich.
Attaching binding to your wall hanging
Preparing a quilt to become a wall hanging

Between the overflowing fabric stash, the bins of "someday" yarn, the abandoned embroidery hoops, and the constant refrain of "I just don't have time," your hobbies are likely causing more overwhelm than actual joy.

It is time to hit reset on your creative practice and stop the cycle of craft-hopping without finished projects. In this workshop, we’re getting your momentum back!

With Caitlin, students will tackle:

The Stash & WIP Audit: We’ll unpack the mental weight of your unfinished projects across all your crafts. Bring a list of your current stashes and grand plans. Together, we’ll honestly assess what you actually want to make versus what you bought for your "fantasy self" (we all have one!), so you can finally make peace with the parts of you that feel overwhelmed.

Time Management for Makers: We are dismantling the "I don't have time" myth. You will learn how to spot realistic pockets of free time in your actual schedule and break down those large, intimidating projects into actionable, 15-minute steps you can actually accomplish.

Your 90-Day Game-Plan: You will leave with a customized, three-month crafting schedule. You'll know exactly which projects deserve your focus right now—whether that is a garment, a sweater, or a quilt—complete with a realistic timeline to get it done.

Happy Wednesday, makers! We know we've talked your ears off about our Ikigai yarns, but we just wanted to remind you that our remaining Tama yarn is 50% off! This yarn is perfect for carrying along with other projects like blankets, scarves, and pillows for a bit of added texture.
