“It was, like, 100 degrees,” said Adams. “Vinyl can get warped at, like, 80 degrees, and it will never sound the same again. I knew I had to do something. So, I picked up a rock and threw it through the window. I just did what any other vinyl lover would do.”

Local hero and vinyl enthusiast Nate Adams broke a car window in order to save the overheating records resting in the backseat.

"I had the chance a few days ago to stop by Ace in the Hole and chat with Mike, the owner. Mike has been in the music business since the 80’s. His first store was the Record Connection on the east side; he has since moved to Kenny and Henderson in the Kenny Centre Mall. We talked about the music business and his adventures riding motorcycles with Jorma Kaukonen of Jefferson Airplane fame. Mike is one of the nicest guys you’ll come across. Stop in the store.
