“Internal v. External”
✝️❤️
Our brain is an extremely powerful muscle, tool, and it will go to extreme measures to protect you. Anxiety, Depression are just signals from your brain to your consciousness telling you that you’re not okay. So we should stop what we’re doing, self-reflect on where we are in our life because your brain is telling you a change needs to be made. The change could be simple or it could be crucial in your life journey. Once you do this you will have your answer, if you claim you don’t, than that is just fear of change, so you’re telling yourself you don’t know. That’s okay, a lot of us with anxiety issues experience this. Once you have your answer, you don’t need to make a decision right away, but take moment and think about it, pray on it, meditate. Whatever works for you. Then write down the pros and cons of this change that needs to be made. When we write out what we’re dealing with it allows the brain to assess and simplify the issue at hand whereas if we allow the thought to sit up in the brain with the million other thoughts, for anxious people, the brain has a hard time pinpointing the solution needed at the moment. Next, we must face the fear. I use the grounding technique, where I ask myself reality based questions to teach my brain that the fears that cause my anxiety are irrational and that I’ll be okay. Like jobs, sports, etc. People with mental health issues have to train their brain to work the way we need it to. You can be strong, confident, and contribute to society, but you have to want to get better and put in the work. We can’t avoid pain and we can’t avoid hard work, so let’s face everything head up & Remember you’re not alone on your journey. Praying for all of us 🙏🏼❤️
