If you’ve been thinking about placing a custom order with me anytime soon please do. TLDR I’ve been the only person working for 10 months and we have an unexpected vet visit
My husband was injured at work a few years ago and then fired after seeking compensation for the unpaid workers comp bills. We recently settled the case for a fraction of what he should have received and were able to pay all sorts of back expenses and actually overpaid some. We cut out a chunk to pay for living expenses and put the rest into some sort of no-touchy account. We also spent a chunk of it on our cross country vacation, admittedly, but our kids got to see so much, I don’t regret that. That being said, we did not factor in potentially thousands of dollars at the vet the same day my husband finally got another job. I’ve been working a couple weeks now but my actual paycheck has yet to hit, so that is that.
I have items for sale currently as well. I’ve got all sorts of headbands, scrunchies, glasses cases, a few bags, some cinnamon pumpkins, hats…
If you’re here because you sew I have a bin of Tula, AH, and Kaffe I’m willing to part with only for this reason. It breaks my heart to sell but not as much as it would to lose Bixby. Not even comparable.
I am also going to set up a crowdsourcing fundraiser. I’ll post that soon.
