Friends of the Clinton Township Library

Friends of the Clinton Township Library Located in Lenawee County, MI, The Friends of the Clinton Township Public Library was established in 1987 to promote and aid the library and its programs.

To raise money, the Friends hold used book sales the first Saturday of each month, from 10 am to 2 pm.

The next book sale for the Friends of the Clinton Township Public Library will be Saturday, August 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sale is in the accessible lower level of the library at 100 Brown St., one block north of the stoplight on US 12 in Clinton.

This month in the adult section we are featuring a sizeable selection of older Stephen King books at slightly higher prices than usual, and a special selection of Art books. We also have several mystery bags for $1. All “pocket paperbacks” are still only 25 cents apiece, including a large selection of vintage romance. We continue to offer three tables of either current, or new to us, fiction and nonfiction.

The Children’s and Young Adult features are: Golden books, Graphic Novels, Christmas, even more books about dinosaurs, and an expanded area of Board Books. There are also several shelves of children’s books in the Rare and Vintage section. The Education and Home-Schooling areas have been thoroughly refreshed.

All areas of the sale have been restocked and refreshed. Items that are newer or of better quality are higher priced, but most adult books are $1, and most children’s books are 25 cents.

Gift certificates (in $5 amounts) are available for use at any sale.

You may pay with cash, check (with ID), or card (3% charge).
Donations of books in clean, reusable condition are welcome any time the library is open. We also welcome new Friends of the Library members.

The next book sale for the Friends of the Clinton Township Public Library will be Saturday, Jun 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sale is in the accessible lower level of the library at 100 Brown St., one block north of the stoplight on US 12 in Clinton.

This month in the adult section we are featuring Father’s Day, Sports, and some specific World War II items.

We also have several mystery bags for $1. All “pocket paperbacks” are still only 25 cents apiece, including the large selection of vintage romance.

We continue to offer three tables of either current or new to us fiction and nonfiction.

The Children’s and Young Adult features are Father’s Day, Graphic Novels, Dinosaurs, and a large variety of story collections. We still have a few “mystery bags” available as well.

All areas of the sale have been restocked and refreshed. Items that are newer or of better quality are higher priced, but most adult books are $1, and most children’s books are 25 cents.

You may also purchase gift certificates (in $5 amounts) for use at any future sale.

The next book sale for the Friends of the Clinton Township Public Library will be Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The sale is located in the lower level of the library, 100 Brown Street, one block north of the stoplight on US 12 in Clinton.

This month, in the adult section, we have several features. They are Mother’s Day, Summer Sports, and Outdoor Grilling and BBQ. We also offer a variety of mystery bags for $1. New this month is a large section of paperback vintage romance books for 25 cents each. “Pocket” paperbacks remain priced at 25 cents apiece.

We continue to offer three tables filled with both fiction and nonfiction that are current,
or new to us.

The Children’s and Young Adult area features are: Mother’s Day, books about strong women and girls, many ABC and 123 books, and Star Wars (“May the 4th be with you!”). We also offer mystery bags for 50 cents. In each are 7 or 8 chapter books, 3rd or 4th grade reading level and above.

The Education/Homeschooling section is featuring animals and nature this month.

As always, all areas of the book sale have been refreshed and restocked.

Coming soon: the next book sale of the Friends of the Clinton Township Public Library! It will be Saturday, April 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Our sale is located in the accessible lower level of the library, 100 Brown Street, one block north of the stoplight on US 12 in Clinton.

In the adult section we have several features this month. We continue to offer three tables of books that are current or “new to us.” Also featured are books on Gardening (both flowers and vegetables), Animals, and Mother’s Day. Pocket paperbacks continue to be priced at 25 cents! And we continue to have “mystery bags.”

The Rare and Vintage section features many new items this month.

The Children’s and young adult area features this month are Easter, Earth Day, and Animals. We have completely redone the “better books” area and the tubs of hardcover picture books. We also offer “mystery bags” for 50 cents. In each are 7 or 8 “chapter” books, 3rd or 4th grade reading level and above.

As usual, all areas have been restocked and refreshed. While the newer books and those of better quality have higher prices, most adult books are $1, and most children’s books are 25 cents.

Our book sale is tomorrow, Saturday, March 7th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We are located in the accessible lower level of the library, 100 Brown Street, one block north of the stoplight on US 12 in Clinton.

The Children’s and young adult area features this month are Easter, Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss (very small selection), St. Patrick’s Day and things Irish, and strong women and girls (in honor of Women’s History Month).

It’s here! Our sale is tomorrow, Saturday, February 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Our sale is located in the accessible lower level of the library, 100 Brown Street, one block north of the stoplight on US 12 in Clinton.

In the adult section we have several features this month. We continue to offer three tables of books that are current or “new to us.” Also featured are “fun and cozy” mysteries, Earth Science, and Literature (essays, short stories, collections, and languages). Pocket paperbacks continue to be priced at 25 cents!

The Children’s Area features this month are Valentine Day, the 100th anniversary of Black History Month, Presidents, and more snow!

The Education and Homeschooling areas feature many new materials.

The popular Rare and Vintage section has new additions in all areas. And there are still some available at half price.

You are invited you to the first Clinton Township Public Library Friends Book Sale of 2026. It will be Saturday, January 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Our sale is in the accessible lower level of the library, 100 Brown Street, one block north of the stoplight on US 12 in Clinton.

In the adult section we are featuring books about exercise, diet and nutrition, and self-help. We also now have three tables of books that are “new to us.” And pocket paperbacks continue to be priced at 25 cents!

The Children’s Area features this month are books about animals, weather, and a large section of books about snow. The games and puzzles area has been replenished, as well as the books in a series section.

The Education and Homeschooling areas also feature many books about weather.

The popular Rare and Vintage section has many new additions. And there are still some in that area at half price.

Among the many events for Christmas in the Village on December 6th is the December book sale for the Friends of the Clinton Township Public Library. It will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sales are held in the accessible lower level of the library, 100 Brown Street, one block north of the stoplight on US 12 in Clinton.

ALL “pocket paperbacks” are still only 25 cents! We are featuring all things Christmas, including fiction, crafts, and foods; several newly prepared “mystery” bags, and the full restocking of our new area of jigsaw puzzles. While most hardcover and trade paperbacks are $1, we also have several tables of newer fiction and nonfiction books which are priced slightly higher.

The Children’s Area again features games and puzzles. We are also featuring books about Christmas. All picture book shelves have been completely refreshed. Books that are in a series is a greatly replenished area. Most children’s books are 25 cents. This month again, we have an increased number of newer books and books in excellent condition, at slightly higher prices, which would be suitable for gift-giving.

The Education/Homeschooling shelves have been updated with new items ready to help learners and teachers.

The Rare and Vintage section is restocked and rearranged. There are also two bookcases of rare and vintage books at half price! Some Vintage Science Fiction books are still available. And there are a few rare and vintage “mystery bags.”

As is customary, all areas have been restocked and refreshed.

You may pay with cash, check (with ID), or credit/debit card. There is a 3% surcharge for using a credit/debit card.

Donations of books in clean, reuseable condition are welcome any time the library is open. We also welcome new Friends of the Library members.
