I made this beauty for a celebration of life event. The goal was to make five bud vase bouquets for the siblings to take home and to create a garden-themed arrangement as she was an avid gardener. I aimed to make each side look like different parts of the garden and to hide the vases in the design. I also presented this design as part of the monthly floral challenge in the online contest of . The goal of the challenge was to hide your vase. The bud vases contain the lisianthus. See if you can spot all five. Taking time from the garden to practice Ikenobo (school of Ikebana). These designs are arranged in a straight line to form a fan-like structure. They can use up to three different types of flowers. In this session, we used one, spider mums. They can also have up to eleven flowers. Working with five today was plenty. When the design is completed, it looks so simple and yet many precise steps have led to the finished product. It is so nice to take a short break and be a student during this busy season.
