Just wanted to make a quick post and let everyone know - I work a full-time day job from 6am to 7pm doing physical labor all day. Most days it’s digging holes with a shovel or crawling around in crawlspaces, so by the time I get home during the week, I’m completely smoked.

I truly appreciate everybody reaching out and trusting me to work on their bikes, but I realistically only have time to do repairs on weekends right now. There’s been way more demand than I expected, and I’m trying my best to help everybody without running myself into the ground.

If I’m slow replying during the week, that’s why. I’ll still get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks for all the support and understanding. Happy riding!

Just because they look new from the top doesn't mean they're still safe!

This customer had concerns with the stopping power of their rear brake. Turns out their brake caliper had collected a few too many spacers over the years, and the pads were no longer making full contact with the rotor.

No matter how hard you pull the brake lever, the pads contact each other, which allows the brake rotor to slide between them.

One set of new pads and an adjustment and were gettin em rolling again.

Sometimes it's the little things that can cause the biggest headache.

3 other shops missed this hairline crack on the non-drive crank arm. The customer complained that the crank arm would loosen over time and occasionally made a small 'click'.

One good deep clean and inspection and we've found the issue!

A new crank arm should get them rolling again.

Did you swap to electronic shifting to eliminate cables from your bike, only to be annoyed at those pesky hydraulic brake hoses?

Look no further! Leave it to to innovate and design fully wireless brakes!

Many of you who know me will know I've been saying for years that wireless brakes are next.

Can't wait to get our hands on some to see how they work!

🚨 BREAKING: SRAM is working on one of the most radical innovations the mountain bike world has ever seen. A fully wireless braking system with zero visible cables on the cockpit. Everything starts with a piezoelectric sensor inside the brake lever.

It measures force, movement, rotation and speed, then sends that data to a controller. The controller transmits it via radio to a remote actuator.

That actuator drives a small electric motor that pushes a hydraulic piston near the brake caliper.

The result is a super clean cockpit and a fully integrated braking unit hidden inside the frame.

Compared to Shimano’s thin electronic hose, SRAM takes it a step further by removing every visible line.

More than looks, the system promises sharper brake response and software-based power tuning.
But the real question is safety.

SRAM built in a fail-safe system inspired by truck brakes, miniaturized for bikes.

A spring mechanism automatically engages a controlled, progressive brake if anything goes wrong.
No sudden wheel lockups and no dead brakes.

Patents show this tech is already well underway.

The future of MTB is heading toward cable-free cockpits, smart braking and full integration. And it may arrive sooner than anyone expects.

Luckily we had a brand new kickstand to install with no issues.

Just picked up a sweet 2017 F-Si but it needs a little carbon repair and some cosmetic work done to the fork. Stay tuned for some updates and videos about the process!

Fun fact: Carbon bicycle frames are engineered to be very strong, yet very lightweight. To keep them light, the frame is made to varying thicknesses, depending on the number of layers, or plies, of carbon fiber fabric. The carbon fiber woven fabric averages 0.15mm thick per layer. The main tubes that make up the bike frame, such as the top tube and down tube, can be as thin as 4 carbon fiber layers, and as thick as 20 layers in high-stress areas such as the bottom bracket and head tube.

The area I am dealing with, the inner non-drive side chainstay should have 15-17. I can see 8 or 9 exposed layers, and I will be adding 3 to 4 more depending on thickness when compressed, and tire clearance for expected tire widths.
