Allow me to introduce you to my husband 😎

Cam and I got engaged in October, and neither of us wanted to wait much longer to get married. Since we're nerds, we ended up picking Pi Day (March 14th) as our wedding day. We decided to have a fairytale/Renaissance themed wedding at a local park, and it ended up being absolutely magical. Cam's best friend even officiated in full wizard gear 🧙‍♂️

I really wanted to make something to wear, but I'm not quite ambitious enough to make my own wedding dress, especially in the amount of time I had. I ended up deciding to knit a shawl, and decided to make Cam a new hat to match. I wanted to find something simple but elegant and on-theme. I also crocheted a single rose for my bouquet to match the one he proposed with.

Yarn is Little Yak 'Gympie Gympie'.
Shawl pattern is Escanda by , but I used two skeins instead of one.

So I learned my lesson last year around trying to handmake all of my Christmas gifts (to those I still owe gifts to, I'm so sorry!!). This year, I chose to focus on one person and only attempt to finish something for them.

Due to various circumstances, I chose one of Cam's aunts. She's had a rough few years, culminating in her breaking her back recently 😭😭😭 I had my FIL figure out her favorite colors and I found a nice shawl pattern I wanted to make for her. She also loves glitter like me, so I made sure to pick up stellina.

I finished it in the nick of time, and she loves it! I will definitely be making this pattern again, it's very simple and relaxing.

Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 I've had so much to be grateful for this year, and I'm so excited for the holiday season to finally be in full swing.

I finished a new shawlette last week, and today seemed like the perfect time to debut it. I even bought a shawl cuff for extra styling options. It was intended as a Halloween color, but I think it's the perfect holiday accessory.

I went to my parents' house for Thanksgiving, so it seemed like a good time for a mini collab with my sister. Scroll through for pics of how she styled my hair and her special Thanksgiving nails. Scroll to the end for bloopers 😜

Yarn is Europa Sock in colorway 'Bloodbath'. This is her MCN blend and it is absolutely divine. I got soooo much out of the skein too.

Happy ! It's yet another design 🎉

It's no secret that I LOVE one-skein shawls, and I think Jem's designs are brilliant. They're enjoyable to make, while also having really unique features, and she makes the patterns so easy to understand and follow. I admit I struggled with this one a bit because it did require more focus than I gave it 😅 But now that it's done, I'm already considering making another one.

Happy Halloween!! 🎃🧙

I was so happy to have a handmake done for the holiday, and I think it goes really well with my costume.

This is definitely one of my favorite recent makes. The pattern and yarn are both gorgeous on their own, but I think this pairing was truly a match made in heaven. Perfect yarn for the pattern, and a perfect fall make. And that leaf pattern? Absolutely stunning 🤩

Pattern is Catch a Falling Leaf. I will definitely be making this again, in a variety of leafy colors.

Everyone wish my 'baby' sister a happy 18th birthday! 🥳🎉

Despite the age gap, Lissie has always been one of my best friends and I love knitting things for her. I bought this yarn with her in mind, as The Princess Bride is her favorite movie and alpaca is one of her favorite fibers (she's so boujee and I love it 🥰). It took me a bit to find the perfect pattern, but it was a match made in heaven, and happened to look amazing with her birthday outfit 🤩 of course that means I'm legally obligated to do a photoshoot with her. I think she looks super cute, and I can't wait to see how she styles it as the weather cools down.

Presenting another Very Special Photoshoot ™️!

I pulled this off the blocking mats just as I was leaving town for Chicago and I just knew I wanted to do a fun photoshoot in the city. I love going to Millennium Park when I can, and the fountain felt like the perfect place to get some pics.

This shawlette turned out so lovely and it was great at keeping the breeze off my neck while I walked around downtown Chicago.

Yarn is Myth Fi*****ng in colorway Defying Gravity.

Pattern is Changing Staircases, also from Dragon Hoard. It's a really generous size for a one-skein shawl, and I HIGHLY recommend it for your single skeins of fi*****ng yarn.

It's and I have a double feature this week! 🎉

I finished two more hats for the for ! These were so nice to make and I am so glad I participated in this MAL. Once they get a bath they will be shipped off to find their new homes 🥰

My Shine Bright is done and off the blocking mats! This pattern was so fun, I hope to make it again eventually. I would start a second one right now, but I'm currently focused on a different one-skein shawl pattern from her (which will be followed by another one lol).

Happy Independence Day! 🎆🇺🇸 This is one of my absolute favorite holidays, so this year I wanted to make myself something to celebrate in style. Of course I had to order stellina, I wanna be a firework too 🤩

I only had a vague idea on what I wanted out of this shawl and mostly freehanded it (especially on the border which I pretty much made up as I went along). I initially wanted to wear it around my neck, but it's entirely too hot for that, so I decided to wrap it around my waist like a sarong. I think it came out super cute. I'll definitely make more of these and play around with borders and whatnot.

Can I call this a belated ?

I just finished my first hat for the ! This is a stitchalong to make hats for Hats for Sailors, a program that provides handmade hats to sailors in the US Navy and Coast Guard.

This hat is so nice and cozy, I hope whatever sailor gets it loves it as much as I do 🥰

Full disclosure, we've had a heat wave this week and I did NOT feel like working on this 😅 This probably would have been done on Monday or Tuesday otherwise.

I'm going to move into casting on hat #2 ASAP. I already have the yarn and pattern and I'm particularly excited for this one due to the color I picked 🤭
