Are you ready to get your scratch-made breakfast on?? By popular demand, we’re heading back to once again for our first week-day public pop up EVER!

This menu is extra exciting because we are bringing back some favorites such as:

✨ English Muffin Breakfast Sandwiches, either with our seasoned bacon or roasted sweet potatoes for the veggie lovers. Both are insanely delicious and topped with our house made onion jam.

✨ Triple Chocolate & Espresso Cookies ✨ which are made with a combination of bittersweet, milk & dark chocolates, toasted milk powder, and espresso powder.

Unlike our brunch clubs, public pop ups, or menu drops you’ve seen us do, our cozy cafes are an intimate chef-table style experience, where you get to be the first to taste test potential future Morning Jay’s menu items, vibe with your peeps and future friends, and play pretend cafe with us in this beautiful, creative studio. Did someone say a summery cozy cafe collab? Yes, and it’s a good one!

We’re teaming up with and for the first of what’s going to be a whole summer of these.

If you haven’t been to a cozy cafe before, here’s the deal: it’s nothing like our public pop-ups or plated brunched. Think intimate, chef-table style, 16 people per seating, inside a beautiful creative studio in Wicker Park. You’re the first to taste potential future Morning Jay’s menu items, you get to actually hang, and Stefania is handling the drinks.

We’ve had such a stacked spring so far, and this most recent cozy cafe was the cherry on top. we got to host the incredibly talented Naka and May of .cafe and honestly, it was so so good.

if you’ve been plugged into the chicago pop up scene, you’ve probably seen their name floating around, and for good reason! Their pastry work is so thoughtful and expressive, deeply rooted in Thai flavors that feel personal and exciting. the kind of baking that tells a story. they were such a natural fit for what we do. 🐦🐢

When we opened up spots, y’all did not waste any time. Both seatings sold out in 48 hours. so we opened a 3rd… gone. opened a 4th… gone too! It still boggles our minds that so many of you want to join us as we play pretend cafe. we are so, so grateful.

That’s right, we’re heading back down to Champaign, IL to raise money and auction off a few of our breakfast baked goods at the Community Service Center of Northern Champaign County’s Annual Spring Fling Fundraiser!

This fundraiser benefits the food pantries and other program services, serving northern champaign county and beyond.

It’s an evening of food, music, and good vibes!  will provide a delicious catered pasta dinner plus live music. And, of course, a live dessert auction!

We will be offering up a number of our sweet/pastry staples for auction, with all the proceeds going to ! The items included are:

🌸 Frozen/Ready-to-Heat Breakfast Sandwiches
🌸 MJ Morning Buns
🌸 Triple chocolate chip & espresso cookies
🌸 Orange-Pistachio Snacking Cake with Blackberry Swiss Meringue Buttercream

That’s right besties, you all LOVED our last cozy craft cafe we did , so we’re headed back there once again! And this time, it’s matcha themed.

Co-founded by friend and overall baddie Samantha (), who you may recognize from our very first plated brunch club event back in December 2024.

What makes this cafe experience unique? Not only is there a delicious menu spread of scratch-made breakfast goodies, there is also an interactive collage craft! Make your next moodboard or funky collage using our collection of vintage magazines and books. This is a fun, no-pressure space to get your creative juices flowing.

We will also be joined by, once again, guest barista ! Elle is a Chicago-based barista and roasting assistant at Backlot Coffee. Ya’ll are in for a treat!
