What y’all doing next Saturday? 👀

Whew, y’all have NO idea how hard we’ve been working to reclaim allll of the aspects of our social media and email servers over the last month or so 🤦🏾‍♀️ Buuuutttt…we’ve got it all back under control 🙌🏾💪🏾

That said, it’s a lil last-minute but we’re trying to kick it during the last shopping weekend before the holiday sooooo…

Pull up on us next Saturday at for: -spiked lattes (because… obviously) ☕️🥃 -a hot cocoa bar that feels like a hug  -bites onsite so nobody gets cranky  -the best bookish playlist 🎶 -totes you don’t need but absolutely deserve  -8x10 prints of everyone’s favorite art from the shop 🖼️

Come sip, shop, laugh too loud, and leave with gifts for others (and yourself-we won’t tell). Or…just chill and read with us! Need to pickup an online order? This will be the perfect time!

𝗪𝐄𝐋𝐏. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓, 𝐲’𝐚𝐥𝐥! 😭🔥📚
This year? A roller coaster. 🎢✨

We laughed. We cried. We unplugged the lights. We replugged the lights. We prayed over the plumbing. 🙃

Closed it all out the only way we know how-with 𝐀𝐑𝐓. 𝗪𝐇𝐈𝐒𝐊𝐄𝐘. & 𝗪𝐀𝐘 𝐓𝐎𝐎 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐘 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐒 (sorry to our accountant 😬). But if it ain’t a little chaotic, is it even Semicolon??

Now it’s time to let the space breathe (and maybe let ComEd and the pipes do therapy together 😭).

We’ll see y’all back in 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔-with a space that actually works and vibes that only we can bring.

‘Til then, make sure y’all show BIG love to all the Black woman–owned ( and I heard opens next week 👀) and indie bookshops in the city! Alllll of em. Pull up, spend money, talk books, be cute. 💅🏾

And don’t worry-we’re still out here shipping, delivering, popping up, and talking loud about books wherever y’all are 👀

Happy Monday! Soooo… y’all know the kinda year we’ve had 🙃 
And this building been beefin’ with us HEAVY-lights tweaking, servers dying, random smells + floods like…okay haunted much? 😭👻

So we gotta step away and let ComEd + whoever else get the space allll the way TOGETHER 😩 
Our last day in the shop ‘til 2026 is November 2nd

But before we shut it down, we’re going out with TWO big vibes:

UPDATE🚨
Big news! We just had our final walk-through to get our café approved, and it’s a go! Contractors are getting started ASAP, so we’ll be closed until Saturday, July 19th. When we reopen, the café will finally be up and running! We truly appreciate your patience and are so excited for you to get the full experience very soon ❤️❤️❤️
