Hi, I’m Olivia!

It’s been a while, but not a day goes by that I don’t think about this space and all the beautiful things I love to create. A lot has changed since I last shared—our family grew (twice!), we traded city life for two acres in the suburbs, and, while pregnant with our second, I built an 1,800 sq ft garden from the ground up. Going from an urban patio to a sea of raised beds has been an adventure—equal parts hands-on learning and deep-dive research.

Over the past year, I’ve been immersed in garden planning, building raised beds, companion planting in Zone 6a, trellising, seeding, seasonal gardening, and, of course, figuring out what to do with all the harvests (bugs included). It’s been a wild, rewarding ride, and I’m excited to share more—what we’ve built, where we’re headed, and all the new products I’m dreaming up using the things we grow.

I’d love to hear from you—what would you like to see or learn more about?

We're in the last few days of August but don't fear, summer doesn't technically end till September 22nd!

The best of the season is yet to come, at least in the Midwest. 1) Humidity starts to fade and the weather is perfect to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air 2) Kids are back at school making it less hectic everywhere 3) Oh, and the lake water is at its peak making it the best time to jump right in!

Do you notice that by the end of a summer day, your skin is heavier than usual. Excessive sweating during this heat mixed with grime from our surroundings causes the pores on our skin to close up, resulting in heaviness. A cold or lukewarm shower at night paired with exfoliation and a good scrub helps open up the pores and makes you feel more comfortable and relaxed for sleep.
