Join our empowering discussion and workshop to overcome social anxiety and self-esteem issues through Cosplay and conventions! There will be ice breakers to help get to know each other while the panelist speak on their journey and give tips on how we fought convention anxiety and found confidence.

Way too often in the cosplay community, we are ostracized for cosplaying characters who don’t match our skin tone. It’s rarely spoken about the intersectionality that comes with doing that as well as dressing in the opposite gender. Join us as we speak on our journey as cosplayers who enjoy both gender-bending and cross-play. We will speak on how we got started, why we do it, and how to overcome the haters that come along with it. We will also offer prizes for the best genderbend cosplay in attendance.

30 years in and I still remember the first time I watched Pokemon. I still remember opening my first trading card pack. I remember my first time playing Pokemon Yellow! I remember my first time playing Pokemon Stadium. I remember crying like a child last year rewatching the entire series with my brother when we finished Ash’s last journey. So many memories from this franchise. Thank you Satoshi Tajiri and . Can’t wait to continue my journey! Thank you for putting this together!

I know Chopper prefers the cold, but not in this case. I can’t believe I left with 82 degree weather and now I’m back in Chicago where it’s 14😭😭. Take me back!!!
