Mahjong 101 and 102 are for you! 101 teaches all the basics you need to know and puts it all together right at the end in a 2 hour class. 102 (recommendation is 1-2 weeks after 101) comes in with a 30 minute revie

w and then 1 hour of guided play. I will walk you through the game and walk around and help each player with rules, hands, etc. For the best set up, I recommend 4 or more players for 101 and 102. If you have 12 or more players wanting to learn, I have a dear friend who is also an instructor who can come with me so we can offer more individualized help- this will be + $10 per player for an additional instructor! Have you started playing, some people are coming over but you want help with rules, hands, etc. Reach out for availability of having me come party with you and keep you on track in your game! Playing exposed hands allows you to call for tiles that have been discarded by other players!

+ anyone can call a discard- not just the next person in turn

+ when you call a discard- you must expose it with the complete grouping it goes with! Once it’s exposed, you can not add/take away from the exposure!

Thinking back to this cozy set up in January with cider, snacks, and family members getting to learning Mahjong together! This was a fun 101 lesson with the hostess, her SIL, her aunt, and her mom! She didn’t have a great space for a card table so we made her dining room table work!

February is filling up with 3 private lessons, 101 lesson at Civil Provision, and my dear friend Beth has asked me to help with an event at McCoy Farms.
