🌍Long post ahead! 🌍

Sometimes as a low waste person I feel like I'm not doing enough. This week my son and I both got truly new shoes (not new to us, new) and I got new bedsheets and a pillow. Again not new TO ME, actually new, and sometimes as a business owner I feel like I'm not doing enough, marketing right, keeping things fresh and exciting but then I remember.
I need new shoes because I literally broke my old ones past the point of wearing they were so old. My sons kindergarten graduation is coming up and he specifically requested penny loafers, the thrift didn't have any and we were on a timeline.
My old bedsheets had holes in them, several, large holes and my pillow fell victim to a sick 5 year old after a solid 15-20 year run... it was my husband's before we even started dating... I'm sitting here with my mason jar coffee cup and a reusable straw drinking coffee that was made from home (in a non plastic container) and my homemade coffee creamer and driving a 10 year old vehicle with no intention of replacing and a phone that I own and have for 5 years with no intention of replacing and that I washed my laundry this morning in non-toxic detergent that was of course refilled and did my dishes with a refilled liner free dishwasher tablet.

I also remember I've NEVER owned a business before, and that this business is not about gimmicks or this new shiny thing, this is a business of sustainability and community, finding and curating collections of effective cleaning and self care tools that you all can depend on through your journey. I hope I find you but not through inauthentic means. I hope I find you along your journey and help you get where you want to be.

Can I sleep on sheets with holes, yea, could I refuse my kiddo and tell him his other shoes are good enough? Yea. But do we all also deserve some grace? Yes. We're all just humans out here trying our best. Take a step back and look at the changes you HAVE made, then ask yourself, what's next? Spring is a time for growth and renewal and I'm just feeling very grateful for my life today and you all for being here and to see changes we can all make together 🖤🌍👣
