It started with a heart transplant.

I couldn’t find the right Mother’s Day gift for my mom after her surgery, so I made her a bangle in memory of her donor with her donor’s initials, angel wings, and a charm with the EE Cummings quote. Since then, my fascination and passion for designing and creating has manifested into CLT Boutique, where I make jewelry, clothing, accessories, and other goods. What started out as a little side hust

le turned into a full-time gig when I renovated a vintage camper and turned it into a mobile boutique. Now you can catch the glamper popping up at events all over North and South Carolina!

My dad called last night to check on me and said, “life isn’t a straight line, sometimes you have to go backwards in order to go forward.” That’s definitely what I’m feeling, but I know it’s what I’m supposed to be doing. Why do we wear stress and burnout like a badge of honor? It’s not sustainable and I’m so guilty of it. I am so excited to feel the creative juices and passion again (and to find time for them).

I got more text messages, DMs, and calls yesterday saying “I’m proud of you” than the day I opened the store. I have an achiever personality so even though it looks like a failure bc it’s not what you’re “supposed” to do, knowing you’re still proud of me meant more than y’all could imagine. You’ve supported me through every phase of this business and I can’t wait to see what the next one brings 🤗

Happy freaking birthday to my bestie ! She’s my hype man, my therapist, and the official spokesperson of CLT Boutique. We met at one of my pop-ups with the glamper and have been friends ever since. She talks me off the ledge when it’s been a bad week and gives me feedback on what I’m buying. She showed up on the first day the store was open with breakfast and champagne so she could be my first customer 🥺 Get you a friend like that. Love you to the moon Jules!

Hey guys, it’s me! Wanted to give you a little update. My printing machine broke last week (yay small business!) and I have been going back and forth with the manufacturer since then trying to repair it. They finally told me today that it’s a lost cause 😭 With this being a very expensive investment, I need some time to research and purchase a new printer. Because of that, I will not be able to fulfill onesie and tea towel orders until further notice. I’m so sorry, I feel like I’m disappointing y’all, and making things for you is my favorite thing to do. I’ll keep you updated and let you know when things are up and running again💪

✨GRATITUDE✨ Thanks for letting me spill my heart yesterday. I spent my evening snuggling my kids on the couch for hours. I couldn’t help but think how somewhere In Afghanistan, there is a young mom like me, holding her babies tight, praying they make it another day. I feel acutely aware of the weight of the kind of freedom and privilege that I have. 

Thank you for letting me live out this dream and always showing up to support my little business. Feeling overwhelmed with gratitude for all that I have. Love y’all.
