And just like that, an almost 10-year-long chapter of my life comes to an end. These walls witnessed the full spectrum of life's moments - the happiest, most challenging, and saddest. They saw me grow into the role of a business owner, navigating unfamiliar territories in a new country. Amidst it all, they stood witness to my personal journey, from a divorce to the discovery of newfound independence, and eventually finding love in the man who would become my husband.
These walls saw the chaos of our mischievous dogs running away managing to melt my nerves. They embraced me during a pregnancy that coincided with the emergence of a global pandemic. Becoming a mother to Angela, and later to Mikey, while constantly covered in chocolate. And in this whirlwind, I encountered countless beautiful souls, forever etched into the fabric of who I am today.
I am forever grateful to my parents, whose unwavering support made this adventure possible. To my sister, who selflessly lent her hand whenever needed. To my husband, who endured my chocolate-induced madness with love and understanding. A special thank you to Kristy, my right hand and 'chocolate mom,' whose kindness and dedication went above and beyond the call of duty. Jessica, Kathy, and Joe, you have been the most incredible teammates, even through the difficult decision of closing this chapter.
To every single person who has been a part of our team, thank you for making work feel like play (well, most of the time!). Though these doors are closing, I know that a vast window of opportunity awaits. I won't cry because it's over; I'm smiling because it all happened. The memories we've created, the bonds we've formed, and the lessons we've learned will forever hold a special place in my heart.
