During our recent snow and ice experience, The Square (intersection of Innes St. and Main St.) was temporarily closed due to icy conditions and vehicles getting stuck. City of Salisbury Street Department treated the area and reopened. ❄️

🚧 A Little Glow-Up at Shug’s 🎨

Heads up, friends! Next week, our building’s getting a bit of a facelift ✨ Richard’s Painting will be giving our beautiful old building a fresh wash and a fresh coat — restoring the front façade to its historic charm and sprucing up our back deck with a fresh stain too. 🧽🪵💦

We’re incredibly grateful to the City of Salisbury’s Community Appearance Commission for awarding us a grant that makes this partial exterior restoration possible — it’s a big help in keeping our little corner of downtown shining bright.

It just so happens that we’re also officially launching our new Shug’s backstreetSTREaTS lunch window next week, open Tuesday and Thursday from 11am –2pm for walk-ups, pickups, and delivery. We didn’t mean to stack it all in the same week…but, it seems sometimes the universe just wants you to do the most. 😅💁‍♀️

Thanks for rolling with us as we glow up a bit! We’re still open and slingin’ good times through it all — so come say hey and grab a drink or a bite while we shine up our corners! ✨🧚‍♂️

It is rare that Barnhardt Jewelers has a loft above their shop come available, but they will have a 2 bed/2bath available as of June 1st! Here is a little bit of information about the loft:

The City of Salisbury will hold a memorial service to honor the life and legacy of Mayor Karen Alexander on Monday, Jan. 13 at 5:30 p.m. at Bell Tower Green.

The service will celebrate Mayor Alexander's contributions to the city and the community.

The public is invited to attend and is encouraged to bring chairs and bundle up for the cold weather. The ceremony will conclude with a candlelight vigil in remembrance of the Mayor's service and dedication to the City of Salisbury.
