Happy Bonsai I created Happy Bonsai after losing too many store-bought bonsai trees in 2008. After caring for five bonsai trees of my own it grew into more than a hobby.

I have enough to share with everybody now. Most of my trees are for outside enjoyment.

Diospyros ebenum Bonsai

Here's something you don't see everyday in bonsai circles.

It's a Cydonia Oblonga, aka edible quince, as opposed to the two more common *Chaenomeles, which are ornamental quince. Anyway, as you can see it has a powerful lower trunk/nebari and is graced with beautiful leaves.

*Both varieties of Chaenomeles are common bonsais.
