The BookHouse provides books, ebooks, and audiobooks to community members as well as wholesale books and book fairs in the Eastern Iowa area. Shop for books and more on our website, contact us for a custom order, or shop one of our book fairs/pop-ups.

One of my favorite things❤️

We partner with a local school district to host a free book fair where students are able to choose and keep a handful of books each, all fully funded by their school's foundation.

What made this one even more special was seeing some of the students pick their books and the schools sharing some of the comments made by the students as I don't usually get to see this side of it. Here are some of my favorite quotes:

"You could have had some boring books so it wasn’t so hard to choose."

"I have 41 books now from this!"

"I thought I was in trouble and I just get to come and pick out books, this is the best day ever!"

Having books of their own helps these students keep reading even after the school year ends, and I'm proud to be a small part of that!
