To the kids stealing cds from your own local record store..
1. I have sacrificed time, energy, and money/debt to open a record store for YOU and this community.. it has been one of the most difficult/stressful things I’ve ever undertaken.. no regrets at all! But real talk.. it’s hard most of the time, as most small business owners know..
2. In a time when large corporations are burning your world and future down, don’t steal from your neighbors.. you’re taking food off my table, out of my dogs bowl.. I am YOU.. I am your neighbor..
3. Everyone in this community who knows me, knows that if you didn’t have the money for a cd, I’d give the damn thing to you. I want you to have the music you love and helps you get through..
4. Don’t be a coward and a traitor to your community. You’re stealing from a business that not long ago hadn’t been in the valley for a long time. And we’re not some rich as****es on a beach somewhere trying to make a buck off you. We’re your neighbors, fighting through the struggle of small business, to bring this to YOU. We’re fully independent. We’re for the neighborhood by the neighborhood..
5. Are we going out of business because YOU are stealing our CDs? No! I’m posting this call you out and to wake you up. You steal from corporations, they don’t feel it, personally or financially. You steal from this little shop, or any other small businesses, we feel it, especially personally! You are part of this community and this record store family. I’m not mad at you.. I’m disappointed.. keep coming back, but remember..
This store is YOURS. Protect it, respect it..
