I know it's not silk but it's so soft!
I just got this yarn in. It is incredibly soft and so beautiful. It's 30% Linen and 70% Viscose (rayon). It has the classic beauty and color of natural linen but is so SOFT, thanks to the rayon. I wove a small sample blanket using cotton 8/2 as warp and Linen Viscose as the weft. You wouldn't believe the drape! Absolutely beautiful yarn. And look at the price!

We carry three different types of silk: Mulberry, Tussah, Eri. They are all amazing but each has its own quality.

Mulberry is shiny and lustrous, it's what most people think of when they think of silk.

Tussah and Eri are wild silks meaning the worms/moths that make them cannot be domesticated. Tussah is naturally a light brown color. It's fluffier than Mulberry. Incredibly soft. Has a rustic look to it. Eri is like the wool of the silk world. It has a subtle sheen that gets stronger with pressing on silk setting. It is soft and feels like a cloud against your skin. It's rustic in appearance and a light cream color.

Started with a pattern from Handwoven and then went down a different path. Huck lace mixed with plain weave. Mulberry Silk yarn 20/2 in blue, golden yellow and a light pink. I used the color grid to figure out the addition of the pink which I thought was really weird but then it grew on me. Looked really good on my husband so it's his now :)
