Our fearless fiber queen Candace has officially been told to sit down and stay put.
She recently took a fall and broke her back (zero stars, do not recommend). The good news? She’s seen a spinal surgeon and the outlook is very positive. With rest and time, she’s expected to make a full recovery.
The not-so-fun part? She’ll be in a back brace for the next 12 weeks and can’t twist, bend, or lift. Which means no heavy pots, no oven gymnastics, and no “I’ll just grab that real quick.”
So we’re doing what the fiber community does best — showing up and stitching together support.
We’re organizing a meal train for Candace and Eddie to help lighten the daily load during this healing season. There are no food allergies, but diabetic-friendly meals are appreciated (and yes, potatoes are totally fine!).
Here’s where you come in:
If Candace has ever helped you fix a dropped stitch, hunt down the perfect skein, troubleshoot a pattern, or simply made you feel welcome — this is your moment to return the favor.
Please take a minute right now to click the link below and sign up for a meal. Even one dinner makes a tangible difference. If you can’t cook, sharing this post is another wonderful way to help.
Let’s fill their calendar the way we fill our project bags — generously. 🧶💛
Sign up, share, and help us wrap Candace in the same care she gives this community every single day.
